Midnight Garden • Black is part of an ongoing series of sculptural, textured floral works.

This piece explores the relationship between texture and light. Built entirely in black, it becomes a fragment of a nocturnal garden that exists in midnight. The floral forms reveal themselves only when light touches the surface, when illuminated, hidden details emerge from the darkness; when unlit, the work almost disappears.

It is a reflection on perception and presence: how life becomes visible when it is “lit up,” revealing texture, character, and meaning beneath what first appears as a blank surface. With light or energy, the work comes alive, unfolding what was always there, waiting to be seen.
