FIVE ELEMENTS - LIGHT is a diptych of sculptural objects inspired by the Japanese philosophy of the five elements- wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Each element is embodied through a distinct texture, revealing its character not only through form but also through the way it responds to light. Together, they form a symbolic cycle that speaks to balance and harmony within the home.
Measuring 100 × 70 cm each, the works were created for a refined interior where their presence had to resonate with a wall finished in gold decorative plaster and framed by classic white moldings.
The challenge was to achieve balance: to highlight the tactile richness of the compositions while maintaining harmony with the surrounding interior. For this reason, a muted and neutral palette was chosen, accentuating texture and volume.
